I remember being embarrassed by my parents for displaying my trophies on the shelf. Companies are a bit like proud parents: they like having their own trophy corners, they use their own pride as a decoration.
Why would a company want to display its trophies? Is it to impress clients? Do they want to remember good old times? Does it remind them of their greatest achievements? Or does it help them set a higher standard for their employees? The purpose doesn’t really matter. What matters is that an award is dedicated to someone, part of someone’s identity. Whether it’s a “Company of the year” award or the first prize in a bubblegum blowing contest, it belongs to the company and its employees. A diploma on my wall is not just a wallpaper, it’s a wallpaper with a little piece of me.
Check these trophy corners and click on the photos to discover which companies they belong to.
And while you’re here, how about meeting these celebrities who work at offices.
